Frequently Asked Questions

What is the adoption process?

  1. Fill out an Application!

We want to get to know you. Tell us a little bit about yourself, your preferences, details of future Doodle Companion and timeframe.

2.  Get Approved

We will review your application and let you know if you're approved. At this time, we'll discuss our suggested litters, puppies, coats, etc.

3.  Reserve Spot

A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due to reserve your spot and puppy. Deposit goes towards the price of the puppy.

You can also become apart of our VIP Wait List by placing a $100 nonrefundable deposit. This will give you information on upcoming litters before the public. Then once you find the right puppy you will be required to pay the remaining $400 of the deposit.

4.  Puppies are Born!

We will keep deposit holders up to date when puppies are born. An email will be sent out that includes details of the litter and photos.

5.  Weekly Updates

Videos and photos will be taken of each litter and sent to deposit holders weekly. We will also keep our website updated.

6.  Pick out Puppy

Puppies are picked in order of deposit holder. We will give suggestions based on your preferences and our knowledge of the litter.

7.  Payment Due

Final payment is due when your puppy turns 6 weeks old. This gives all forms of payment time to process before you pick your puppy up. Again, the deposit you place goes towards the price of the puppy.

8.  Time to Go Home!

Puppies will be able to go home at 8 weeks of age. We will set up times prior to make sure you have enough time to plan.

Do you allow visitors?

Yes. We welcome our families with deposits to come to our house and visit their puppies after 6 weeks of age.

Do you hold puppies past the “go home” date?

We understand most families work during the week so if the go home date lands during the week we will hold the puppy until the weekend. If the date lands on the weekend we will hold the puppy for 3 days. If we must hold your puppy longer we charge $25 per day.

When can we expect pictures of our puppy?

We do a group picture at birth and individual pictures at 3,5 and 7 weeks. We understand families like to see their puppy grow and we feel these times are the best.

Does my puppy need grooming?

Yes, all of our breeds need regular grooming. Doodles have two coats and it's very important to make sure the under coat is brushed daily to avoid matting which can result in having your puppy shaved down. If you brush regularly and like your puppy in a shaggy coat then you can get by with a full groom every 8-10 weeks. If you can't commit to regular brushing at home then you should have your puppy groomed every 6-8 weeks.

How Can I Pay?

We accept payment with:

- Cash

-Credit/Debit

-Zelle

Due to Minnesota State Law, we must charge sales tax of 7.38%.

Is the deposit refundable?

All deposits towards the purchase of a puppy are nonrefundable. We do however allow families to transfer their deposit to another litter up to a total of 2x before requiring them to select or forfeit their deposit?

Do you health test?

Yes. We do a full DNA genetic disease panel through Paw Prints Genetics & Embarked.

What does your health guarantee cover?

We offer a 1 year health guarantee against life threatening inheritable genetic diseases. It also outlines the spay/neuter requirement. Please see the written health guarantee document for complete guarantee.

What will the puppy go home with?

All puppies go home with a collar, leash, blanket (with scent of mom), toys, vet record, with vet letter, microchip info and puppy health insurance.

What kind of food will my puppy be eating?

We feed Life Abundance. The brand is found the recommendation tap on our website and can be ordered through our website!

Do you recommend pet insurance?

Absolutely. We provide our puppy families with a certificate for 30 days of free Trupanion pet insurance. We provide you with Trupanion because they have the shortest  “waiting” period or underwriting period (5 days) and we have found that most puppy accidents occur during the first two weeks of going home. Pet insurance is sold at a minimal cost and will easily pay for itself if your puppy has any type of illness or accident.

Do you ship your puppies?

We are happy to have our puppies flown out to you with our puppy nanny in-cabin. The fee starts at $500 and you are required to pay $100 of said fee before the flight. The balance needs to be paid in full to the nanny at drop off. With that being said, our flights are based on stand by flights. If you want a guaranteed date and time we are happy to fly one of our team members to you! The cost of a ticket (depending on area) and a delivery fee of $100.

If you choose to fly to our airport we can meet you for a $100 fee.
